463. Historic Narrowboat Rally & Canal Festival

A real feast of historic narrowboats from varying carrying companies including Fellows Morton and Clayton; Grand Union Canal Carrying Co; British Transport Waterways; Erewash Canal Carrying Co; and W H Cowburn and Cowpar, in various different styles such as Josher, Norwich (W J Yarwood & Sons Ltd), Woolwich (Harland & Wolff Ltd), Admiral, Town, and Tug. This, the 21st Historic Narrowboat Rally and Canal Festival was held on the weekend of 28th and 29th June at Braunston Marina on the Grand Union Canal, with the opening ceremony on Saturday 28th performed by Sir David and Lady Suchet.
