Four days ago I left home because I felt like I’d lost something. Not my family. Not my life. Me. I felt like I was spinning plates, reacting to everything around me and losing the clarity and focus that normally keeps me moving forward..... So I got in the car. No real itinerary. No hotels booked. No grand plan. The Lake District became Scotland. Scotland became Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay. And eventually, I realised it was time to turn around and go home. Today is Day 4 - and the final chapter of this first Sonny Gets Lost journey. I’m much closer to home, walking around Ogden Reservoir with Tangocini Doggerino, but deliberately taking a route I’ve never taken before. Because I think I finally found what I went looking for. And strangely, it came down to just two words. Perspective. Appreciation. Perspective to understand that a few things going wrong doesn’t mean everything is going wrong. And appreciation for what I already have. A wife who loves me. Kids I’m incredibly proud of. Family around me. My health. The opportunity to keep trying. Sometimes life doesn’t follow the plan you drew up for it. Maybe that’s okay. The difficult parts become part of the story as well. This trip was never really about the Lake District, Scotland or the Yorkshire coast. It was about getting enough distance from everything to see my own life properly again. And if I lose that perspective again? Maybe Sonny Gets Lost again. Because we’re all works in progress. Thank you genuinely to everyone who followed these videos, sent messages and left comments over the last few days. I don’t need millions of people watching. If one person watches this who has been feeling overwhelmed, stuck or unable to explain what’s going on in their own head, and gets something from it, then making these videos was worthwhile. This may be the end of this journey. But I don’t think it’s the end of Sonny Gets Lost. No Plan. Just Go. #SonnyGetsLost #PersonalGrowth #Perspective
