Abandoned & Deserted Town, is this really Kos Island! Sailing Ula to the Caribbean S09E03

Have we sailed to an abandoned town?? Deserted and decaying, but isn’t this a tourist resort? After arriving in the anchorage at Kamari (Kos)we venture ashore to find the town totally deserted and what looks like abandoned. Nowhere to eat and only one poorly stocked mini market is all we can find, until we come across a lovely café bar serving home baked cakes. Moving on we head up to the island of Kalymnos, initially mooring alongside on the quay, until the harbour master advises us to move further into the port, to get shelter from the 35kts of wind forecast for the following day. Three days is enough in this lovely town, and now we head out and North to Leros, anchoring in the southern bay of Xerokampos.
