BEFORE YOU GO DEEPER WITH GOD, KNOW THESE TRUTHS | APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN

Going deeper with God requires strong biblical foundations. Apostle Joshua Selman explores sound doctrine, the authority of Scripture, and knowing God with confidence. Spiritual experiences matter, but what keeps your faith steady when questions arise? In “The Fundamental Doctrines of the Faith, Part One,” Apostle Joshua Selman calls believers to build their convictions on a clear understanding of God’s Word. This message encourages a deeper Christian walk rooted in truth rather than excitement alone. Drawing from Luke 1:1–4, the teaching emphasises certainty concerning the things believers have been taught. It introduces the importance of foundational Christian doctrine before focusing on Scripture and the nature of God. The aim is to help listeners understand what they believe and why those convictions matter for spiritual growth. The message examines the Bible’s revelation of God, Jesus Christ, and humanity’s need for salvation. It also distinguishes Jesus as the living Word from the written Word and explores different dimensions of studying Scripture. The teaching then considers God’s eternal nature, self-existence, power, and perfect knowledge—truths intended to strengthen confidence in Him. In this message, you will explore: Why spiritual experiences cannot replace sound biblical foundations. The importance of knowing what you believe. Scripture’s place as the final authority in the Christian life. The distinction between the living Word and the written Word. How God’s Word supports renewal, wisdom, and deeper knowledge of Him. Foundational truths about God’s nature and attributes. As you listen, consider the foundation beneath your convictions. Can you explain what you believe from Scripture? Do you allow God’s Word to shape your understanding, or only turn to it when you need encouragement? Are you willing to revisit questions you have never examined carefully? Going deeper with God involves more than collecting spiritual experiences. It also means becoming grounded, teachable, and increasingly familiar with the truths that shape Christian faith. This message invites you to study thoughtfully, ask sincere questions, and give Scripture its proper place in your decisions and daily walk. Listen prayerfully, take notes, and revisit the sections that need further study.
