G major groove backing track at 88 BPM - a happy, uplifting, laid-back straight 16th-note major groove for jamming, soloing and improvisation practice. Drums, bass, rhythm guitar and electric piano only - no lead guitar, so the solo space is all yours. About 8 minutes (11 times through the 16-bar form) with a count-in and a clean ending.

CHORD TONES TO TARGET
Gadd9 = G B D A
Bm7 = B D F♯ A
Cmaj7 = C E G B
D7sus4 = D G A C
D = D F♯ A
G6 = G B D E
B7 = B D♯ F♯ A
Em7 = E G B D
Am7 = A C E G
D7 = D F♯ A C
Cmaj9 = C E G B D
D6 = D F♯ A B
Gmaj7 = G B D F♯
E7 = E G♯ B D
Am9 = A C E G B
A7 = A C♯ E G
Tip: the secondary dominants give the lift - over B7 land on D♯ (its major 3rd, A string 6th fret or B string 4th fret) and resolve up a half step to E in Em7; over E7 aim for G♯ (G string 1st fret or high e 4th fret) on the way to Am9; over A7 the C♯ (B string 2nd fret) leads up to D. Over Gadd9 the A (its 9th) sounds bright and open, over G6 and D6 the E and B (their 6ths) add sweetness, and over Gmaj7 and Cmaj7 try resting on the F♯ and B (their major 7ths).

About this track: the music and visuals were made with code. The chord progression is our own, the arrangement is generated by a Python script and played back with free CC0 instrument samples (Virtuosity Drums by Karoryfer Samples & Versilian Studios, Karoryfer Black And Green guitar and Black And Blue bass), with an electric piano, amp and reverb synthesized in our own code; the graphics are drawn programmatically. It does not use or copy any existing song or recording.
