VARIATIONS SUR CHRISTUS VINCIT - Denis Bédard

"Christus Vincit" is a traditional Gregorian chant associated with the Roman Catholic liturgy. The chant is used at the end of the Church's liturgical year on the Feast of Christ the King. The text, "Christus Vincit, Christus Regnat, Christus Imperat," translates from Latin to "Christ conquers, Christ reigns, Christ commands." Bédard uses the chant as the basis for a set of theme and variations, including a trumpet fanfare and French inspired toccata! I used the Hauptwerk sample set of Caen by Sonus Paradisi for this recording. Score: https://cheldar.ca/fr/produit/variati...
