Thomas Schwebel on 33 Tage in Ketten: “On 25 December, I had the great honour of performing Fehlfarben’s second album, 33 Tage in Ketten, in its entirety for the first time in 45 years at the Lieblingsplattenfestival in Düsseldorf. As the album’s fantastic rhythm section – Uwe Bauer and Michael Kemner – are now busy at the ‘Great Gig in the Sky’ dealing with the likes of Hendrix and Kurt Cobain (my friend Xao, with his big mouth, will be there to support them!), I was helped out by brilliant musicians such as Peta Devlin, Rick McPhail and Gunther Buskies. Then, at the end of May, there were more concerts, this time with the no less extraordinary Heiko Franz on drums, at the Lido in Berlin and at Knust in Hamburg, as well as in Kiel. It was brilliant, after all these years, to experience the appreciation for the album through so many comments and encounters, which were always warm and sometimes surprising (looking at you, Mark Bursa!) As a memento, here’s ‘Wilde 13’ and the original version of ‘Wie bitte was?!’ For everyone who was there, and as a taster for the autumn concerts. Thanks to everyone! Next shows: 11.11.
