We tried to ride the last bus on Oxford Street, and it didn't go to plan. In fact, we didn't even have a plan! Buses have travelled along Oxford Street for well over 100 years. Buses have gradually been removed for this street with long term preparation for pedestrianisation. Oxford Street was once one of London's busiest bus corridors. The 6, 7, 8, 10, 13, 15, 23, 73, 94, 98, 113, 137, 139, 159, 189 and 390 used the road 20 years ago. By 2018, this number had reduced significantly. Many bus routes were diverted to other areas or cut back to Marble Arch.
