My journey to Newcastle & Return… including Live Cams & a dedication video to 91110 (91010)

My journey log behind 91110 & 82208 (NL06) on 11/09/26. This video is also a dedication video to the fastest electric locomotive in the UK which 37 years ago today (when my video goes live on 17th September) achieved a British national speed record. A brief introduction regarding it… 91010 (now 91110) holds the British speed record for electric locomotives, reaching 161.7 mph (260.2 km/h) while on a test run down the East Coast Main Line at Stoke Bank (15miles north of Peterborough) on 17th September 1989 information provided by Wikipedia. Starting from London Kings Cross today with 1N09 1433 service to Newcastle, the journey to Newcastle was perfect from start to finish, flying thro Doncaster middle road, also with a lovely photo passing Durham Cathedral and finally arriving into Newcastle at 1739 3min late not bad for a 268mile journey. whilst I had about 52mins to wait till my train back to London, I took the opportunity to take some photos of 91110 and my Hornby model of 91110 that I brought with me. Now back onboard with 1Y20 for the 268mile trip back to London at 1827, after leaving approx 2mins late from Newcastle, we made it to York and left there 7mins late, but from here the driver applied the power for the non stop run to Grantham, flying through the centre road at Doncaster & Retford, then we slowed down to 100mph for the diamond crossing at Newark. Then passing the railcam located just south of Newark in (Balderton) then finally arriving at Grantham 6mins late, after here the driver yet again applied the power flying thro Peterborough, and finally arriving at Stevenage to drop passengers off at 2110 5mins late now, then finally more power applied by the driver for the final leg to London Kings Cross arriving at 2132 1min later than planned.
