LIVE TANGO MUSIC! At the invitation of the Music in The City Festival 2026 in Southampton, on Saturday 12th September in The Vault, members of the New Forest Caminito Community Tango Orchestra were joined by musicians from The London Caminito Community Tango Orchestra and others under the musical direction of Simon Cook with vocals by Ray Batchelor to contribute a lively programme of tango music. Isabelita was an Argentine comedy film in which this song is sung. The joke of the song in the 1940 account is that Isabelita – a fabulously attractive woman – walks down the fashionable Buenos Aires street, Florida fails to notice that men are all falling at her feet because of her great sadness: that she is searching for a lover.
