[FR] Ce funiculaire mis en service en 1890 est le plus ancien moyen de transport public de la ville de Neuchâtel. Il relie le quartier de l’Ecluse au nord de l’enceinte historique de la vieille ville au quartier de Plan à proximité du jardin botanique. Petite particularité, les deux voitures faisant partie de l’inventaire total des véhicules des transports publics neuchâtelois, elles portent non pas les numéros 1 er 2 mais 401 et 402.
