On March 24, 2026, a report of missing cash brought Indian River County deputies to the Home Depot in Sebastian, Florida, where employee Megan Ann Cagot was suspected of taking money from a register. According to the arrest report, the store documented five incidents between March 11 and March 21. Cagot had worked at the store for approximately one month.
Through bodycam footage, the arrest report, and documented court records, this video follows deputies as they speak with loss prevention staff, question Cagot, and examine her explanation for the missing money. Before deputies arrived, she had already met with store staff and signed a statement. She expected to discuss paying the money back, but the arrival of law enforcement changed the situation.
Rico Bodycam covers real police encounters, from the first conversation to what happens in court. We obtain police bodycam footage directly from law enforcement agencies through public records requests and review the reports and court documents behind each case.
We produce every video ourselves, adding original narration and commentary to give context to arrests, traffic stops, and criminal investigations. When questions come up about police procedure or constitutional rights, we explain how they apply to the encounter on screen.
Our goal is to help viewers understand what happened and why. We cover the decisions made by officers and the people they encounter, with room for scrutiny of both. This is documentary coverage not a celebration of violence or crime.
