09 Lágrymas y Sonrisas, New Forest Caminito Community Tango Orchestra & Friends, Southampton 2026

LIVE TANGO MUSIC! At the invitation of the Music in The City Festival 2026 in Southampton, on Saturday 12th September in The Vault, members of the New Forest Caminito Community Tango Orchestra were joined by musicians from The London Caminito Community Tango Orchestra and others under the musical direction of Simon Cook to contribute a lively programme of tango music. Lágrimas y Sonrisas was composed in 1913 by Pascual De Gullo. The pianist and band leader, Rodolfo Biagi famously recorded his own instrumental arrangement in 1941 and this arrangement by Caroline Pearsall is based on that recording.
