In Part 5 of my 12" clawhammer banjo build, I make the first test assembly and carefully check how everything comes together. One of the most important details is the neck angle. Getting this right is essential for the final setup, playability and action of the banjo. I also give the wood its first treatment with oil, bringing out the natural character and beauty of the wood.
