Perseus - Kristopher Fulton (The Vocal Consort)

Perseus Composed by Kristopher Fulton The Vocal Consort Presents: Choral Footprints Conducted by: Mr Nelson Kwei Drawn from Greek mythology, “Perseus” by Kristopher Fulton is a contemporary choral work about Perseus, the hero who slays Medusa and rescues Andromeda. Rather than retelling the story in detail, the piece focuses on the heroic spirit and inner resolve of Perseus. The narrative of the warrior Perseus is told with high energy, exciting rhythms, and interesting harmonic colours. Legend whispers of a warrior to be, who came to these shores from across the sea. No one could tell where the child had come from, or what he was to become. He was to become an army of one. Perseus was an immortal's son with the gifts of the Gods, an invincible army of one. Perseus was a warrior whose eyes would burn with the fire of a million suns! When Perseus marched out of the city gates. He left the crowds chanting his name behind. Perseus, bring the head of the enemy home! So with fire in his eyes, the myth itself had come to life. Could Perseus bring the head of Medusa home? To the western road ahead, and to the mountain range beyond. Dawn to the evening and evening until dawn. Perseus was an immortal's son with the gifts of the Gods, a fearless army of one. Perseus was a warrior; an invincible army, a fearless army of one! Into the Gorgon's lair itself. alone, he steels himself and strikes! Perseus an immortal's son, an army of one, Zeus's half immortal son! Facebook:   / tvc.sg   Instagram:   / thevocalconsort
