🚩 Rajgad Fort Vlog | Trek to the First Capital of Hindavi Swarajya We rode our bikes to Gunjavane Village in Maharashtra and started our trek to the historic Rajgad Fort. 🏍️⛰️ The Sahyadri looks absolutely stunning during the monsoon, with clouds, greenery, and rain making the trek even more memorable. 🌧️🌿 So we decided to take on one of Maharashtra’s most historic forts — Rajgad, also known as the “King of Forts.” Rajgad was earlier known as Murumbdev, and in 1647, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj made it Rajgad. The fort then served as the capital of Hindavi Swarajya for around 26 years, before the capital was shifted to Raigad in 1674. During the trek, we explore different parts of the fort, including Chor Darwaja, Pali Darwaja, Padmavati Machi, Balekilla, Chilkhati Buruj and Suvela Machi. Rajgad is not just about trekking and beautiful views — it is a fort filled with stories from the time of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, including its connection with important events in the history of Swarajya.
