Welcome back to the channel! We're LIVE on November 2, 2026 — and this is Part 2, where we get this Amazon Relay block back on track and finish it out. After yesterday fell apart, today we run the one piece that's left. Bodie's riding shotgun. Let's roll!
WHERE WE LEFT OFF:
If you missed Part 1, here's the short version: our planned run up to Chicago got cancelled when the pre-loaded trailer wasn't ready, so we ended up bobtailing over to the St. Louis area and parking for the night. Not the day we wanted — but the block isn't dead, and today we close it out.
TODAY'S RUN:
This morning we pick up our pre-loaded Amazon trailer in the St. Louis area around 5:30 AM, and we haul it back down to Springfield, Missouri, dropping it around 10:30 AM. That's the last booked piece of this 37-hour block — getting a loaded trailer home to the Springfield area to wrap things up.
IT MIGHT NOT END THERE:
Here's the thing about these blocks: that Springfield drop is all that's on the schedule so far, but Amazon can still add work onto the end of the day. They may tack on a shuttle move or two after the drop, and they can keep us working all the way until 2:30 PM if they decide to. So we might be done by mid-morning... or we might have a few more moves in us. We'll find out after the drop — ride along and we'll see together.
TODAY'S ROUTE:
From the St. Louis area we cross into Missouri and run I-44 southwest through the Ozark hills to Springfield. It's about a 215-mile early-morning run, straight down the old Route 66 corridor.
A pre-dawn start, a sunrise over the Missouri Ozarks, and a chance to finish a block that did its best to fall apart on us. Even the rough ones, you get them done. Thanks for riding along for both halves of this one!
BODIE UPDATE:
Our beagle pup Bodie ("Whitehead's Bodacious Bodie") is riding along and supervising as always — back to a real load today, which he approves of. Thanks to everybody who keeps cheering him on in the chat!
