EC 37 Romulus (Part 1 from Vienna South Station to Tarvisio)

Now we present a three-part series about the EC 37 Romulus, covering its entire route from Vienna South Station to Rome Termini. In the first part, we cover the section between Vienna South Station and the Tarvisio border crossing around 1989. The train consists mainly of ÖBB rolling stock from Era IV. The Grand Comfort dining car is from the FS (Italian State Railways). In Austria, an ÖBB Class 1044 locomotive pulls this train to the Italian border. The EC 31/37 Romulus was launched in 1987 to further improve connections between Austria and Italy. Around 1989, end of Era IV.
