75-Year-Old Hit on E-Bike, Driver Flees. Then Deputies Knock

On Friday, January 23, 2026, at 9:53 a.m., a white SUV hit a 75-year-old man riding his e-bike at Palm Coast Parkway and Lake Forest Way in Palm Coast, Florida, dragged him about six feet, and drove away. This video follows the Flagler County Sheriff's Office's own footage: the traffic camera, the first deputies on scene, the search for the SUV, and what happened when deputies knocked on the door of a house on Beaver Dam Lane. Andrea Matranga, 38, was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving injury, battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, and refusing to sign a citation. He was released on a $15,000 bond. These are allegations; he is presumed innocent, and we found no public record of how the case was resolved. Viewer note: this video contains real police footage, including a struggle and the use of a Taser. Names, dates of birth, phone numbers and licence numbers of private people are bleeped.
