Turning aspirin into a lethal weight loss drug

In today's video, I'll be turning aspirin into 2,4-dinitrophenol, better known as DNP. This compound was once used as a weight-loss drug, but it was banned because the difference between a dose that causes weight loss and a dose that kills you can be terrifyingly small. I start with a ridiculous amount of aspirin tablets and work through the whole messy process until I end up with the final yellow DNP crystals.
