Eagle Turf Wars, Heavy Rain, Epic Camp Spot — Trinity Lakes Overland Part 2

Part 2 of our Trinity Lakes Overland adventure picks up right where we left off — waking up to a calm lake, cooking breakfast at camp, and heading out for a full day of exploring the mountains. We tried to reach the rental cabins near Big Trinity and Little Roaring River, but the Forest Service gate had other plans. Even in August, access up here changes fast. So we turned around and kept exploring the basin, catching some incredible wildlife moments along the way. Michelle took the camera for a walk along the lake and captured an eagle cruising low over the water, plus a full‑on turf conflict between an eagle and an osprey. Nature doesn’t mess around up here.
