The 2025 World Teachers’ Day theme, “Recasting teaching as a collaborative profession,” resonates deeply with my journey. It reminds me that teaching is not just about what happens between a teacher and their learners; it is also about the connections we build, the knowledge we share, and the solutions we create together to transform education. As a classroom teacher in Ghana, I have come to recognise that my experience, ideas, and creativity can contribute to education far beyond my own classroom. This realisation has inspired me to explore new opportunities at the intersection of teaching, technology, innovation, and professional collaboration. My journey with Women Educators in Internet and Technology (WEITech) became part of this professional evolution. It encouraged me to explore how technology, networks, and shared learning can expand my contribution to education and open new pathways towards education consulting. Through my work as the Founder of Teacherpreneurship Network, I am building a community where teachers can connect, learn from one another, develop digital skills, explore innovative ideas, and turn their knowledge into meaningful opportunities. Today, I am increasingly interested in how my classroom experience and community-building work can help organisations understand teachers’ needs, design relevant professional development, strengthen teacher engagement, and support the adoption of educational technology. My journey is not about leaving teaching behind. It is about expanding the reach of what teaching has equipped me to do. From classroom teaching to education consulting, I am discovering that when teachers collaborate, share expertise, and embrace new possibilities, their impact can extend far beyond the classroom. One teacher. A growing network. A wider impact.
