Opening Day Pyramid Lake Tips For Trolling Lahontan Cutthroat Trout Best Lure Guide Fish On

Opening day at Pyramid Lake is an amazing experience. This year was different than most, but did not disappoint!! Rough wind patterns can make the lake un-fishable, especially wind coming from the South. Luckily the terrible winds mainly blew from the North, allowing for a launch-able day at Pelican Point. Most fisherman were actively trying to stay out of the wind in the protection of the bay. To avoid a crowded day we slammed North into the shit, and maintained corse until we found protection past Warrior Point. Trolling with down riggers and a variety of lures, we made the best out of a rough weather situation. The line up of Pisces Outdoors spoons, Lyman Cigar plugs, and AC Plug jointed swimmers, the rods were constantly getting attention.
