TRAVEL DIARIES 22 : DIJON 🇫🇷

Dijon & Lyon 🇫🇷 Next stop on our six-month backpacking trip around Europe — Dijon, the home of mustard 🤣 We spent our days wandering the streets of Dijon, popping into little shops, meeting people and generally eating our way around the city. We visited the famous market hall for a buffet lunch, tried mustard from the oldest mustard shop in Dijon, visited a wine museum to learn more about French wine, and of course… Hannah ate another hotdog. At this point, it was becoming a bit of a tradition 🌭😂 Dijon was also where I celebrated my birthday, and we went to a restaurant listed in the Michelin Guide where we were lucky enough to sit at the chef’s table. The food was incredible, the wine was even better, and it made for a pretty memorable birthday. We also made our way to Lyon, although things didn’t quite go to plan. Hannah became ill with her asthma and we ended up having to go to hospital, so Lyon didn’t turn out quite how we’d imagined.
