How to Correctly Time a VW 07K Engine & Torquing ARP Head Studs | 1987 Porsche 944 07k Swap | Ep.11

In Episode 11 of the 1987 Porsche 944 07K swap build, we tackle two major milestones: setting the complete timing system and torquing down the cylinder head. We start by aligning the oil pump and getting the lower timing chain, guides, and tensioner in place. From there, we install the head with our upgraded ARP head studs, walk through the three-stage torque sequence, reinstall the camshafts, lock down Top Dead Center (TDC) using the timing tools, and run the upper timing chain. Finally, we button up the rear main seal, upper timing cover, new hardware, and do a quick mockup of the APR coil packs to see how the completed 2.5L 5-cylinder engine is coming together.
