The journey begins on the motorway and continues through the city, past the port, through central Salerno and along the beautiful Lungomare toward the tourist marina. Traffic, city streets, glimpses of the sea and historic landmarks — including Forte La Carnale — turn a simple drive into an almost sightseeing experience. No planned route for sightseeing. Just an unexpected opportunity to discover Salerno from behind the wheel. This is Part 1 — The Way There.
