Enjoying a rainy summer day in my vintage home🏡cozy cooking & vintage diy📷

Some summer days arrive with bright sunshine, while others bring soft rain, cool air, and a slower rhythm.🌻🌦️ Today began with one of my favorite moments—playing the santur. Music always helps me slow down and enjoy the little things before the day gently unfolds. Later, I cooked one of my favorite Persian comfort foods: Gheymeh Bademjan. I started by soaking the split peas, then slowly fried onions with beef and lamb until fragrant. A little tomato paste added richness, and saffron gave the stew its beautiful golden color. Dried Persian limes brought their warm, tangy aroma, and after adding water, the stew simmered gently for several hours until e & thing became tender. Meanwhile. I fried eaaplants to serve alongside the stew. With the rain softly falling outside, I walked across the garden with my umbrella to my little cottage. There, I worked on a small vintage project that made me smile. I lined several old picture frames with beautiful vintage fabrics and added a few tiny photographs of Mohammad and me. It's amazing how photographs can bring forgotten memories back to life, and giving them a vintage touch made those moments feel even more timeless. Later, I hung them together in our hallway, creating a cozy little memory wall. Before dinner, I took my basket into the garden and picked fresh cucumbers and a few towers. There is something deeply satisfying about harvesting food you've grown yourself. Those freshly picked cucumbers became a simple bowl of Persian yogurt and cucumber with walnuts and raisins, finished with a few herbs for a fresh summer meal. As evening arrived, I set the table with warm rice, homemade Gheymeh Bademjan, fresh Mast-o-Khiar, and enjoyed another quiet summer evening at home.
