A peaceful and cozy rainy day in my vintage home, filled with homemade food, little creative projects, and simple moments at home.🌻🌧️ I started the day by going into the backyard garden and picking fresh bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers and a few flowers.🫑🍅🥒 After bringing everything inside and washing the vegetables, I made homemade Shirmal bread with milk, egg, yogurt, saffron and sesame. While the dough was resting, I prepared a delicious chicken and minced-meat roll with onion, parsley, saffron and spices. I also gave an old autumn-patterned blouse a new life by turning it into a simple handmade apron with lace and cotton ribbon. Later, I made homemade pickled bell peppers using the peppers from our garden, with garlic, hot pepper, vinegar and salt. For dinner, I sliced the chilled chicken and meat roll into beautiful two-coloured pieces and served it with rice. And then came my favourite part of the day... After dinner, while the rain was falling outside, I made a cup of tea and took some freshly baked Shirmal and my book into my little garden cabin. ☕️🌧️🕯️ I lit a candle and simply sat there listening to the rain gently falling on the roof of the cabin. The cool, windy weather, the sound of rain, candlelight, warm tea and a good book made this ordinary day feel so special and peaceful.
