I showed up to a West Coast Swing competition in a room full of strangers, with a migraine, knowing absolutely nobody, and not speaking the native language. And it turned out to be one of the best weekends I've had in a really long time. I made it to novice semis for the first time ever, and I want to tell you all about it. In this video I'm breaking down what Jack and Jill competition actually is, what it feels like to walk into a room full of strangers and just trust them with your body, and the very personal story of why I walked away from West Coast Swing years ago and what it meant to finally come back. If any of this resonates, drop it in the comments. I love knowing I'm not doing this alone. Subscribe if you want to follow the journey, and catch me in tomorrow's video. ——- Check out my little corner of the internet 📨 - https://www.kaylynkeller.com ——- TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 — Best weekend recap intro 1:43 — What is West Coast Swing 3:12 — Jack and Jill explained 5:27 — Walking in as a stranger 8:09 — Trusting a stranger to dance 10:18 — I made semis for first time 12:04 — Why I walked away from WCS 14:31 — The healing journey this year 15:47 — Why this beats any 9 to 5
