Choosing God's side - Daniel Dugmore - Sunday 28th June 2026

Yesterday, Daniel read with us Joshua Chapter 5 verses 13-15. We then spent a few minutes thinking of any questions we had about the passage. Altogether, we came up with 47 questions, ranging from, "What was the sword made of?" to "Why did Joshua have to take off his sandals?" We then spent 5 minutes asking Holy Spirit to reveal some answers to us. Together, we came up with a plan based on what Holy Spirit had revealed to us, that not only applied to Joshua in this passage, but that we can apply to problems or difficult situations we might find ourselves in too. Go toward the problem (Jericho). Recognise God's presence / look up. Align with God's side, not God aligning with us. Humbling ourselves / worship Him. Ask with a servant's attitude. Listen. Cleanse our hearts and obey.
