Jee Le | Hindi/Urdu Jazz-Noir | 4K | Raahi Vale

Jee Le (जी ले | جی لے) | Raahi Vale | Music video Hindustani Bollywood jazz-noir, 62 BPM, from the album Aangan. A cinematic music video about a father who plants a mango tree he may never eat from. An old man kneels in the corner of the courtyard and plants a mango sapling. His hands shake now but the soil still knows them. The neighbour laughs over the wall. Who plants a tree at this age? He smiles. The fruit was never for him, he is a man who sows shade. The seasons turn, the stairs get longer, the calendar fills with circles for the son who is coming next year. Then one summer the tree is taller than the house and the grandchildren are eating its mangoes. Fifty one pictures, one courtyard, one tree. Jee le, jee le. Hamaara hisaab mat rakhna beta. Chhaanv hamaara haath hai, tere sar pe hamesha. 🎧 Best on headphones. Then call home. ──────────────────────── PAGES 00:00 The colony at sunrise 00:19 Planting the mango sapling 00:50 The neighbour laughs 01:09 Evening on the veranda 01:35 The stairs, the pills, the old album 02:24 Circles on the calendar 02:43 Monsoon, winter, the sapling grows 03:13 Years later, mangoes for the grandchildren 03:44 Her head on his shoulder 04:14 Dawn over the courtyard ──────────────────────── ABOUT RAAHI VALE Raahi Vale makes Hindustani torch songs.
