We Drove Scotland's Most Challenging Road! | NC500 Day 4

Day 4 of our Scotland NC500 road trip takes us from the beautiful shores of Loch Maree to Inverness — but the highlight of the day is one of the most challenging and spectacular roads in the Scottish Highlands: Bealach na Bà. After breakfast at Loch Maree, we head towards Shieldaig and stop at some incredible viewpoints along the way. From Shieldaig, we have a choice — take the more direct route or continue along the NC500 coastal route towards Applecross. We choose the coastal route and make our way through some of the most beautiful scenery in Wester Ross before stopping in Applecross for a coffee. Then comes the big challenge — Bealach na Bà. The narrow single-track road, steep gradients, tight hairpin bends and changing Highland weather make this one of the most memorable drives of our NC500 journey. As we climb higher, the clouds and fog roll in and completely change the experience.
