Above Dubrovnik | Drive to Dubrovnik Viewpoint

In this video, we drive up to Srd Hill, the low mountain that rises just behind Dubrovnik’s walled old town. Srđ is one of the city’s best-known viewpoints, offering spectacular views over Dubrovnik, the Adriatic and the surrounding coastline. It can be reached by hiking, by cable car or by road, and we chose to drive up, stopping along the way to take in the scenery. At the top stands Fort Imperial, a Napoleonic fortress that now houses Dubrovnik’s Homeland War Museum. From here, we walked behind the fort towards one of the viewpoints, where the views over Dubrovnik’s old town were absolutely breathtaking. There is also a restaurant at the top, with amazing views over the city and the sea. On the way down, we stopped at another viewpoint before heading back to Dubrovnik.
