Tonight’s transmission drifts beyond the atmosphere and deep into a strange tropical future. SPACE CUMBIA explores an imaginary world where Amazonian chicha, psychedelic cumbia, analog synthesizers and retro-futuristic dreamscapes collide. Inspired by Peruvian psychedelic guitar music, forgotten science fiction soundtracks, cosmic electronics and interplanetary lounge culture, this session imagines what might happen if a cumbia band were broadcasting from a distant orbital station somewhere beyond Saturn. Echo-drenched guitars, hypnotic tropical rhythms, analog synthesizers, mysterious radio signals and cosmic atmospheres blend into a soundtrack for imaginary worlds, abandoned space colonies and forgotten transmissions from the far edges of the galaxy. Inspired by Los Mirlos, Juaneco y Su Combo, Los Destellos, Mort Garson, Joe Meek, early electronic music, retro science fiction cinema and tropical psychedelia. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ TRANSMISSION NOTES More than a music channel, The Lounge Club is an ongoing experimental audiovisual laboratory — a space dedicated to atmosphere, storytelling, visual experimentation and sonic world-building. Many people ask in the comments if the music on this channel is made with AI. The short answer is: yes. But not only. My name is Isaac Varzim, a Brazilian artist with more than 30 years involved with music production, composition, curation and performance. I have a background in classical music and jazz, I’ve worked as a DJ for more than two decades, and some of you may also know me from my other channel, @isaacvarzim, where I share DJ sets and musical research projects. Here on The Lounge Club I use AI tools — especially SUNO — as part of a much larger creative process. But the process does not end there. In many ways, it actually begins there. Starting from detailed prompts involving musical references, atmospheres, moods, instrumentation, cinematic aesthetics and emotional directions, I begin constructing musical material that is later manipulated, remixed, reconstructed and expanded inside Ableton Live. The goal here is not simply to generate songs, but to build fictional worlds, emotional landscapes and imaginary cinematic transmissions. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Join The Lounge Club Society:   / theloungeclubsociety   Follow The Lounge Club Society on Instagram:   / theloungeclubsociety   Support the project: https://buymeacoffee.com/theloungeclub Contact: djisaacvarzim@gmail.com — Isaac Varzim / The Lounge Club
