I’m 27 years old, and this summer, I decided to take a break from work and go back home to the countryside. People kept asking me, “Why have you been home for so long? When are you going back to work?” I simply told them, “I’m on summer break.” Maybe adults deserve summer breaks too. But the longer I stayed at home, the more I realized that I didn’t just want to take a break. I wanted to spend time with my family. My dad recently left his job and started working from home. He’s learning a completely new job, and I wanted to stay by his side and support him. Starting over is never easy, especially when you’re getting older. This video is about my quiet days at home — helping my dad, taking care of my grandma, eating my dad’s cooking, making Vietnamese spring rolls, and doing all the little things that somehow become precious when you know you’ll have to leave again. I also think a lot about money, work, growing older, and what it really means to have a family. Money is important, but it isn’t everything. Soon, my summer break will really be over, and I’ll have to return to the city. For now, I’m just grateful that I got to be home. Thank you for spending a little time with me. 🤍 #vlog #countrysidevlog #familyvlog #slowliving #
