In this custom map, based on the Battle of Helm’s Deep – Hornburg, your mission is to defend the fortress against endless waves of Uruk-hai and hold the line for as long as possible. Every wave brings more enemies, and the fate of Rohan rests on your ability to withstand the assault until Gandalf and Éomer arrive with reinforcements. This map is a perfect fit for the Realms in Exile submod, which features a dedicated Hornburg faction, focused on the Rohirrim defending their stronghold. Since the faction represents Rohan during the events surrounding the Battle of Helm’s Deep, this scenario feels right at home. The original map was recreated and adapted specifically to get it working with the Realms in Exile submod, bringing this iconic defensive battle to a new gameplay experience.
