A road inspection in Delhi’s Vikaspuri has turned into a political controversy after a video appeared to show PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh slapping a young man who was recording the proceedings. The man, identified as 22-year-old Sahib Singh, has filed a complaint against the minister at Vikaspuri Police Station. According to reports, Delhi Police has received five complaints so far. One was filed by Sahib Singh, two by PWD employees against AAP MLA Jarnail Singh and others, and two by BJP workers alleging misbehaviour with Minister Parvesh Singh. Police are investigating all the complaints, but no FIR has been registered so far. The dispute began during a road inspection on September 27, with both sides making allegations over road quality, the incident and what happened at the spot.
