Maharashtra Drought Relief: शेतकऱ्यांच्या 5,000 Advance Aid मध्ये ट्विस्ट! कुणाला वगळले? कुणाला लाभ?

This is because the government had indicated that the advance assistance would be provided across the board to these farmers. However, there has now been a major twist in the decision. The eligibility criteria for the assistance were finalised at yesterday’s Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting. While the government has been talking about providing assistance to 1.5 crore farmers, income-tax-paying farmers and certain other categories of landowners are now set to be excluded from the benefit. At the same time, there is a possibility that additional drought-affected areas will be included in the list, following the declaration of drought across 304 talukas in the state. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has shared several important updates concerning farmers. These include financial assistance exceeding the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) norms, an increase in incentive grants, the removal of the CIBIL score requirement when issuing fresh crop loans, the release of pending instalments to women who have completed e-KYC under the Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin scheme, and the reintroduction of previously applicable triggers for crop insurance.
