The adventure doesn’t stop there! We finally track down one of Slovenia’s famous Mlekomat vending machines, where I try fresh, unpasteurised raw cows milk straight from a local producer. It’s an authentic Slovenian experience and the perfect warm-up for an upcoming Slovenian Food Challenge. To finish an incredible day, we enjoy a delicious traditional Slovenian dinner at Slovenska Hiša Ljubljančanka, a fantastic restaurant serving authentic local cuisine in the heart of Ljubljana. From the warm hospitality to the outstanding flavours, it’s easy to see why this is a favourite with both locals and visitors. With another huge day of sightseeing, shopping and eating complete, we return to the Best Western Premier Hotel Slon for a relaxing nightcap at the elegant Zvezda Café & Bar, reflecting on another unforgettable day discovering the culture, food and hidden gems of Slovenia.
