What If Varys Woke Up Before Ned's Arrest With Future Memories

Weeks before King Robert Baratheon leaves for the Kingswood, Lord Varys wakes in the Red Keep with memories of a future he has not lived. He has seen Ned Stark die on the steps of the Great Sept of Baelor, and the Five Kings tear the land apart. He remembers wildfire burning King's Landing and his own death on a lonely shore. Silence guarantees that ruin. Varys must act before the first blow falls. Can Varys convince Lord Eddard Stark to see through Petyr Baelish's lies before the trap springs in the throne room? What happens if King Robert rides into the Kingswood with his Hand beside him, alert to Lannister treason before the boar strikes? Even if bloodshed between Stark and Lannister is averted, peace will not come easily. Can Tywin Lannister and the Baratheon brothers ever agree to an uneasy peace? Breaking his silence puts Varys in mortal danger. Still, he refuses to watch the Seven Kingdoms burn. He must reshape the game of thrones himself, if only to stop the war before the banners are called.
