Shola Hoon Bhadakne Ki Guzaarish Nahin Karta — Jagjit Singh | Vikas Arora Tribute | Bazm e Khas

Shola Hoon Bhadakne Ki Guzaarish Nahin Karta, Sach Munh Se Nikal Jaata Hai Koshish Nahin Karta" — I am a flame, but I don't ask to blaze. The truth escapes my lips without trying. Muzaffar Warsi wrote these words, Jagjit Singh sang them on the iconic 1985 album Echoes — and created a ghazal about dignity, self-respect, and quiet strength that has stayed with listeners for four decades. Tonight, Vikas Arora pays tribute at Bazm e Khas — and every line carries that same quiet fire. 🎶 "Main Zakhm To Rakhta Hoon, Numaish Nahin Karta" — I do carry my wounds, but I don't put them on display. This ghazal is not about heartbreak. It is about a certain kind of character — a person who burns but doesn't ask to be seen burning. Who speaks truth without trying. Who stands with the falling wall, not the rising sun. Muzaffar Warsi captured something rare here, and Jagjit Singh gave it the voice it deserved. This is the fourth chapter in Vikas Arora's heartfelt tribute series to Jagjit Singh, following "Koi Dost Hai Na Raqeeb Hai", "Main Nashe Mein Hoon", and "Shaam Se Aankh Mein Nami Si Hai." 🎵 Ghazal: Shola Hoon Bhadakne Ki Guzaarish Nahin Karta ✍️ Poet: Muzaffar Warsi | Album: Echoes (1985) 🎤 Tribute to: Jagjit Singh 🎤 Vocals: Vikas Arora 📍 Live at Bazm e Khas Baithak 🥁 Tabla: Ujith Uday Kumar 🎸 Guitar: Kapil Kumawat 🪈 Flute: Raag Yaman 🎹 Keys: Ashwin Krishnan Harmonium: Lalit Sisodiya This baithak was organized at the initiative of Ved Gupta, Founder of Bazm e Khas Foundation — preserving this great treasure of live music for all music lovers and students of Hindustani music.
