Dolly Parton Estate Takes Bryan Seaver to Court After Being FIRED

Dolly Parton’s estate has taken legal action against her nephew Bryan Seaver — just weeks after he was fired from his longtime position as Dolly Parton’s head of security. A Tennessee judge granted a temporary restraining order involving Seaver and his security company after She’s Alive, the organization managing Dolly Parton’s professional interests, accused him of making threatening and intimidating statements. Seaver has denied threatening anyone and disputes the estate’s characterization of his messages. But how did Bryan Seaver go from being a longtime member of Dolly Parton’s security team — and the family member chosen to announce her death — to becoming involved in a legal battle with the organization protecting her legacy? In this documentary, we examine: • Bryan Seaver’s connection to Dolly Parton • Why Dolly Parton’s nephew was fired as head of security • The lawsuit involving Dolly Parton’s estate • The temporary restraining order against Bryan Seaver • The allegations made by She’s Alive • Bryan Seaver’s response to the allegations • Danny Nozell’s role in managing Dolly’s affairs • Freida Parton’s comments about the family • What happened after Dolly Parton’s death • What the court has actually decided so far • What could happen at the next hearing This is a developing legal story, and allegations in court filings should not be confused with findings that have been proven at trial.
