☕ Coffee, Discord & more → https://ahnp.pages.dev I went into this episode of The Planet Crafter with one plan: get my new drones sorting the base so I never have to haul ore again. 🚀 I ended up reading the last messages of an entire civilization that used to live under my feet. This episode starts almost mundane: with drones finally online, I spend the first stretch setting every storage container to demand, supply, or priority so the whole base runs itself instead of me hauling ore between extractors. I clear out clogged shelves, chase down one stray piece of iron I refuse to leave behind, and build a T3 ore extractor to keep the metal moving. Then I go looking for osmium in a small cave near my base, and instead I find arched stone corridors, brick pillars, and tiled floors nobody built by accident. There's a Warden's altar, a message terminal buzzing with static, and chest after chest of loot scattered through rooms that clearly belonged to someone. 👽 The messages describe a species that looked exactly like the Wardens, fled their home world, and hid on this planet to escape something they call insatiable — it reminds me of Riven, the sequel to Myst, if anyone else has played it. I don't know yet whether these people were my ancestors or whether my own species is the reason they had to run. I dig up a golden chest, grab a key 🗝️ I don't understand yet, and barely make it out when my propulsion system cuts out underground.
