In 1928, MGM released a Jazz Age party picture that turned a chorus-line dancer into the biggest flapper star in Hollywood. Our Dancing Daughters is the story of Diana Medford, the reckless dancing girl who loves a young millionaire, Ben Blaine; Ann, the married friend who throws her love away; and Bea, the good girl hiding a past. This then-and-now tribute follows the four stars who made it live: Joan Crawford (1904-1977), the determined dancer who became a legend; Johnny Mack Brown (1904-1974), the Alabama football hero who rode into cowboy movies; Anita Page (1910-2008), the blonde beauty who became the last surviving star of the silent era; and Dorothy Sebastian (1903-1957), the southern girl who danced beside them. From the bon voyage party to the dance trilogy, this is the full story of the cast of Our Dancing Daughters, then and now.
Rest in peace: Joan Crawford (1904-1977), Johnny Mack Brown (1904-1974), Anita Page (1910-2008), Dorothy Sebastian (1903-1957).
