We talk about traditional open pollinated seed, disappearing varieties, farmer access to seed, the ability to save and reproduce seed, genetic diversity, increasing dependence on commercial supply chains and what happens when drought, war, regulation, trade disruption or crop failure interrupts those systems. Eden Seeds has been preserving and distributing traditional open pollinated varieties since 1986. This conversation asks a much bigger question than what we should plant in the garden.
