The Zombie Outbreak Reached Our Border Town—But the Checkpoint Guards Wouldn't Let Anyone Leave

DESCRIPTION: Ben learns that Colter has been sealed inside the containment zone after the checkpoint guards stop everyone from leaving. He finds Dana and their father, then uses the old county map to plan a route down the Harmon River after infected appear inside town. When soldiers at Cutter's Ford refuse to let them pass, the family leaves the boat, follows a footpath through the woods, and builds a raft farther downstream. They later join other survivors, find a Ford truck, reach the Weston fairgrounds, and pass through screening into the civilian zone.
