The movements—coming together, expanding, spreading, gathering, moving quickly, and moving slowly—represent the unpredictable spread of cancer cells. When the dancers perform with clean, uncovered fingers, creating alternating seated and standing movement patterns in a slow and gradual manner, it symbolizes discussions and research that require a long process to discover solutions for cancer prevention and treatment.
