Today's Devotional: God Is With You in the Valley “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.” — Psalm 23:4 (ESV) Sometimes we think that if God is really with us, life should be easy. But Psalm 23 gives us a different picture. David doesn't say that God's people will never walk through valleys. He says that God walks with them through the valley. You may have seasons where you don't understand what God is doing. You may feel anxious about the future, discouraged by your circumstances, or frustrated because things aren't happening the way you expected. But difficult circumstances aren't proof that God has abandoned you. Notice David's words: “You are with me.” That's the comfort. The Shepherd doesn't always remove the valley immediately, but He doesn't leave His sheep alone in it either. And eventually, the valley ends. So whatever you're facing today, don't let your circumstances convince you that God is distant. Keep praying. Keep opening His Word. Keep following Christ. You don't need to know exactly where the road leads—you need to know who is walking beside you. “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” — Psalm 23:1 (ESV) Prayer: Father, thank You for being with me in every season. When I walk through difficult or uncertain moments, help me remember that You have not left me. Give me courage when I'm afraid, patience when I don't understand, and faith when I can't see what You're doing. Help me trust You as my Shepherd and follow You wherever You lead.
