Dag tells a strange story from a dinner trip abroad: an elder's acquaintance who cleaned a shrine said the local god had stopped answering any prayers. Why? She'd seen a lizard crawl into its ear, and people had actually tried buying insecticide to kill it. He flips that image straight at us - it isn't a lizard blocking God's ears, it's our sin. From there he walks through Isaiah 59's list of what actually separates us from God: blood-defiled hands, lying lips, staying silent when you should have spoken up. He even tells of a man who tested a suspicious gift of eggs on his dog, and the dog died. The point: before you blame God for silence, check what you're carrying.
