Pyranha Firecracker and ReactR - James River whitewater

July 20th, 2025 - Richmond, Virginia. A group of five of us put in at Pony Pasture and ran the Upper and Lower James River then took out at 14th Street. One person in the group was making their first descent down the Lower James and the rest were making their first trip at this water level. The water level was 6.1'/8320cfs on the Westham gauge. This is my second lap at 6.1' and it gave me an opportunity to clean up some of my mistakes made on the last trip at this level. I still have to work on Pipeline when the water is this high as you can see in the video, but every lap counts and something is learned each time. Everyone had a great lap with only one flip and a successful combat roll.
